French artist sketches his trans-Viêt Nam odyssey

"Ever since french artist Vincent besançon firts came to Viêt Nam, he has taken his
sketch-book wherever he goes.
The result is a panoply of sketches and drawings - over 800 in total - depicting the
avriety of life and landscape across the country, some of wich are now on display
in Hà Nôi.
The biro and water-colour works trace a journey from Hà Nôi to Ha Long Bay, then
through the sandy central coast, winding up in the fertile lands of the Cu'u Long
(Mekong) Delta and the bustle of HCM City.
A small flourish of the pen or brush captures faces, gestures and daily life from all
walks of the country."...

..."He first came here to visit his son in 1999, and has kept coming back.
His sketches gave him a personal set of souvenirs to take back as memories of is
wonderful experiences."
